The Tri gloss meter consists of a light source, a correction prism for generating parallel beams, a grating for limiting the parallel beams, and a mirror-direction reflected light detection device. When measuring, compare the reflectivity of the sculpture to an object of known reflectivity. A piece of polished black glass is usually used as the working standard. Measurements are made under the selected light incident angle conditions. It should be noted here that the measurement results of the gloss meter are also different depending on the angle of incidence. The larger the angle of incidence, the higher the specular reflectance and the higher the glossiness value, and vice versa. It can be seen that the level of the measured value of the gloss meter depends not only on the surface characteristics of the object, but also on the measurement angle.
